Any TED SYSOPS customer can become an affiliate and earn a commission for referring other real estate investors — you don't need to be on a paid plan to get started.
What a referral is worth
Before you enroll, Settings > Refer TED opens with What a referral is worth: one line per plan showing what you'd earn each month and each year for a customer on that plan, for as long as they stay a customer. Once you're enrolled, the same section uses your own commission rate.
Getting your link
From Settings > Refer TED, select Get your referral link. This
creates a unique link for you immediately — there's nothing to fill out,
and clicking it again later won't create a second one. Your link looks
like https://tedsysops.com/?ref=yourcode.
You can enroll while on a trial — you don't need an active paid subscription to get your link and start referring.
Sharing your link
Under Share your link, select Copy link to copy your link to your clipboard. Below it are three ready-made messages — a Text message, an Email (with a subject line), and a Social post — each already containing your link. Select Copy on any of them and paste it wherever you like.
What you'll see once you're enrolled
The top of the page shows three numbers:
- Earned this month — commission from this month's payments, after any refunds.
- Ready for your next payout — commission that has cleared the 30-day hold and will go out in the next payout. When more is on its way, a line underneath shows the next amount to unlock and the day it unlocks.
- Paid to you so far — everything already sent to you.
If your own TED plan is paid monthly or yearly, a line below tells you how much of this month's plan cost your referrals covered.
Under those numbers you'll see how many times your link was clicked and how many people signed up. Further down:
- Last 12 months — a bar chart of what you earned each month.
- Customers you referred — each company you referred, when, its plan, its status, and what it earned you this month and in total. The status reads Paying, On trial, Payment issue, or Cancelled: no longer earning once a customer has left. Until someone signs up, this section says No referrals yet.
How and when you're paid
Commissions are paid monthly via PayPal. Each commission unlocks 30 days after the invoice it's tied to — this protects against paying out on a signup that cancels or refunds shortly after subscribing. If a customer is refunded, the matching commission comes off your totals.
Who can see Refer TED
Only your organization's account owner and team admins can see Settings > Refer TED, get the referral link, and see the earnings. Other team members don't see Refer TED in Settings at all.
Payouts go to the account owner
Commissions always belong to the account owner. If a team admin selects Get your referral link, the link is still set up in the account owner's name, and every payout goes to the owner.
