Using your dashboard

Last updated 2026-10-26

My Dashboard is your personal view of what's due and what's happening across your deals.

Daily briefing

A card at the very top of the dashboard summarizes your team's morning: deals closing this week, deals closed yesterday, your own tasks and deadlines, deals that haven't moved in a while, and new deals from the last 24 hours. If your role has full access to Reports (or you're an admin), it also shows a Money tile that leads with what's coming and then what already landed: Projected profit (my open deals), Coming to me (your pending plus projected commissions), Closing revenue (MTD), and Net deal profit (MTD). So a month with no closings yet still shows the money in your pipeline.

The card only appears once your team's morning briefing has generated for the day — there's nothing to show before then. Select the close (×) icon to dismiss it for the day; select the Briefing chip that takes its place to bring it back. Select Ask TED about this to open Ask TED with today's briefing in view.

Turn the card off entirely, or turn on a 7am email version, from Updating your profile.

Featured card

When something needs your attention most, it's surfaced at the very top as a single highlighted card — a stale deal or an upcoming deadline. It's hidden when nothing stands out.

Incoming

Right under the briefing, four cards show what's arriving for you:

  • New deals (7d) — deals created in the last 7 days where you hold a seat (owner, transaction coordinator, or dispo) or are an assigned employee. It lists up to three addresses and counts the rest; select the card to open your pipeline board.
  • Next closing — your open deal with the nearest closing date from today on (an extended closing date wins over the original). Select it to open the deal. With nothing scheduled it says so.
  • Pending earnings — commissions you've earned but haven't been paid yet.
  • Projected earnings — commissions you'll earn as your open deals progress.

The two earnings cards use the same Pending and Projected totals as the Earnings tab on Pay & Time, and select through to it. If a card can't load, it says what failed and offers Retry.

Things waiting on you

Three cards show what needs action from you specifically:

  • Deadlines — upcoming dates, with a control to change how many days ahead you're looking.
  • My Tasks — tasks assigned to you across your deals, plus any Decision, Form, or Instruction step currently waiting on you in an automator run.
  • Needs Attention — deals that haven't moved in a while.

Select any deal or task in these cards to jump straight to it. When Deadlines or My Tasks has nothing to show, it offers a shortcut to the full list instead of sitting empty — Open calendar or Open tasks.

By status

A row of pipeline metric cards shows your deal count and value by status — open statuses (Active, For Sale, Pending Sale, On Hold) first, then Closed, Funded, and Canceled. Select one to jump straight to that status on your team's pipeline board. A small line under the section title ("N deals assigned to you") shows the total across every card, including for admins.

This period

Your financials for the period — pipeline value, closed revenue, estimated commissions, and expenses. Toggle between MTD (month to date) and QTD (quarter to date). The small line under the section title shows which period is active plus your team's timezone (e.g. "MTD · ET") — that's whose "today" the window is anchored to. Hover the ⓘ next to any figure's label for a plain-English definition — the same one Ask TED uses when it answers a question about that number.

Closed Revenue counts a deal in the period of its Actual Closing Date — filled in for you the day you mark it Closed or Funded — else the date it funded or closed, the same date the closed-deal reports use. TED only falls back to the expected closing date when a deal has none of those recorded. A closed deal with no actual sale price yet adds nothing until you enter one.

Flips count once. A Fix & Flip deal and its Retail Resale are one flip project, so the dashboard counts the project's money once, on the resale: Closed Revenue gets the project's revenue (sale price minus purchase price) and the project's profit, in the period the resale funds. Until then, Pipeline Value shows the project's projected profit on the resale. The Fix & Flip deal adds nothing to either figure — buying the house is never shown as a loss. Instead, if your team uses Fix & Flip, an Acquired card counts the flips you bought in the period.

Each card is a shortcut to what makes up its number — select one to jump to the source:

  • Pipeline Value and Closed Revenue take you to your team's pipeline board (Closed Revenue opens it filtered to closed deals).
  • My Commissions takes you straight to the Earnings tab on Pay & Time — hover the card first for a quick Paid / Pending / Projected breakdown that adds up to the total shown.
  • Total Expenses takes you to the Closed profit by month report, which totals expenses (and profit) for each month.

A card only becomes a link if you have access to its destination — if you don't, it still shows the number, just without the click-through.

Recent activity

A feed of what's happened across your deals recently — the deals you own, are the transaction coordinator on, or are otherwise assigned to. This applies to every role, admins included; for team-wide activity across every deal, use Team Dashboard instead.
