Inviting a team member

Last updated 2026-09-02

Settings > Team Members (admin only) is where you invite people to your team, either one at a time by email or with a shareable join link.

Inviting by email

  1. Select Invite Member.
  2. Enter their Email Address.
  3. Pick a Role — select one role and it becomes their primary role automatically. Need to give them more than one? Select Add additional roles (advanced) to switch to a checklist where you can pick several roles and star which one is primary.
  4. Select Send Invitation.

If the email sends, you'll see "Invitation sent!". If it doesn't (a delivery problem), you'll still see "Invitation link ready" or "Invitation created" with a copyable Invitation Link you can share directly — either way, the link works and expires in 7 days.

If there's already a pending invite for that address, you'll see "There is already a pending invitation for this email".

Pending invitations

Below the member list, Pending Invitations lists everyone you've invited who hasn't joined yet, with three actions per row: copy the invite link, Resend invitation (also extends its expiry by 7 days), and Revoke invitation.

Sharing a join link instead

The Join Link section, below Pending Invitations, lets anyone with the link join without a personal invite:

  1. Turn on Enable Join Link.
  2. Copy the Join URL to share it, or select the refresh icon to generate a new link (this invalidates the old one).
  3. Optionally set a Default Role — anyone who joins via the link gets this role automatically.

See Joining a team for what the invitee sees on either path, and Managing team member roles for changing someone's role after they've joined.
