Working your book from My Book

Last updated 2026-10-16

My Book is the first tab in the Contact Hub. It lists everything on the contacts and companies you own that is waiting on you today, so you can work through it one row at a time.

When the Contact Hub opens on My Book

The Contact Hub opens on My Book when something is waiting on you or you own at least one contact or company. If you don't own anything and nothing is waiting, it opens on Contacts instead — My Book is still there as the first tab. The number on the tab is how many items are waiting.

Once you pick a tab yourself, the Contact Hub stays on it when you reload the page.

What's on My Book

My Book has seven cards. A card with nothing in it says so — for example "No follow-ups due today."

  • Follow-ups due today — contacts you own whose next follow-up is today, with the note you left.
  • Overdue follow-ups — follow-ups whose day has passed, oldest first, with how many days late they are.
  • Replies waiting — people you own who texted you, or whose call you missed or who left a voicemail, in the last 30 days and haven't heard back. A text you send or a call you make or pick up clears them; a text that failed to send doesn't.
  • Clicked, no response — buyers you own who clicked a link in a deal email in the last 14 days, on a deal that's still open, and haven't replied, told you what they think, or made an offer on it. Each row shows the deal's address and when they clicked ("Clicked yesterday").
  • Unknown numbers — texts and calls that reached you from numbers that aren't on any contact yet. See Texts and calls from unknown numbers.
  • Unverified buyers — buyers you own who are still in the Unverified tier, with how long they've been waiting. See Verifying buyers.
  • Buy boxes going stale — buy boxes on your buyers that nobody has confirmed in 12 months (your admin can change this — see Contact Hub settings).

Archived contacts and companies never show up here.

Clearing items

Select a name to open that person or company. Each row also has one button:

  • Done (on a follow-up) — opens the follow-up box. Select Done again to log "Followed up" on their timeline (add what happened if you like), then pick when to reach out next — 3 days, 1 week, 2 weeks, 1 month, Pick a date, or No follow-up. Reschedule moves the same follow-up to a new day. Either way the row leaves My Book.
  • Reply — opens the person's timeline showing their texts and calls, so you can answer from there.
  • Verify — opens the person's or company's Buyer tab, where the verification checklist is.
  • Confirm Box — opens the buy box. Check Mark verified now, update anything that changed, and select Save Buy Box — the box leaves the list.
  • Log Response (on Clicked, no response) — log what the buyer said about that deal: Interested, or Passed with Why they passed and an optional note, then Save Response. The text and envelope buttons next to it open the buyer's texts or a new email about the deal. Logging a response — or the buyer texting back, or an offer from them — takes the row off My Book. See Understanding deal marketing sends.
  • Open (on an unknown number) — opens the Unknown numbers list, where you can create a contact from the number, attach it to someone, or ignore it.

If you have view-only access to contacts, you'll see your follow-ups, clicks and buy boxes without the Done, Log Response, and Confirm Box buttons.

When everything is clear, My Book says "You're caught up" with an Open Contacts button.

For team admins: viewing someone else's book

Admins get a Viewing dropdown above the cards:

  • Me — your own book.
  • Whole team — everything waiting on anyone on the team. Each row starts with the name of the person who owns it. The Coverage gaps strip from the Buyer view shows here too — the states, counties and markets with a deal in the last 12 months that have no buyers or only one or two. See Managing contacts.
  • A teammate's name — their book, exactly as they see it.

While you're viewing yourself or a teammate, Reassign Book… moves every contact and company that person owns to someone else in one step — the same as Transfer book… in Settings > Team Members. See Transferring a teammate's book.

If someone was already removed from the team but still owns contacts or companies, admins also see Transfer a former member's book… next to Viewing — it opens the same transfer. A former member may appear as "Former team member" (their name isn't always available), so each entry also shows the size of their book, like "42 contacts, 3 companies".

Common issues

  • "Couldn't load this list — check your connection and try again." — select Try Again on any card once your connection is back.
  • Someone is missing from Replies waiting — only texts and calls from the last 30 days count, and only on contacts you own. Check the contact's owner on their profile.
